Route description: The route starts from the village Saumalkol, which can be reached by buses from the city of Petropavlovsk, and from Aiyrtau and Imantau. In this direction you can see the mausoleum Karasay and Agyntay batyrs, which has got a historical value. The route passes to the south from the village Saumalkol to the village Madeniet, to the east of which there is a memorial complex erected over the graves of Agyntay batyr and Karasay batyr — companions of Ablay Khan against dzhungarian conquerors.
Both were buried in a cemetery on the hill Kulshynbay-tobe located near the memorial complex.
Agyntay came from Argyn (Northern Kazakhstan ) was born in 1599, Karasay batyr, son of Altyn was born in 1598. He came from Shaprashty (Southern Kazakhstan), the direct ancestor of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A .Nazarbayev. Two 16-meters high domes (mausoleum of Karasay batyr and Agyntay batyr) and 12-meters high mosque — are the main facilities of the complex. Behind the mausoleum there is a granite slab. Two sons-twins of Karasay batyr were buried here. Around the domes there were buried few soldiers. These tombs are surrounded by borders and are filled with fragments of granite.
There is an exciting view of the beautiful steppes Aiyrtau from the high hill. The mausoleum is a symbol of unity and friendship, unity of all peoples of Kazakhstan.
